FAQ

Microsoft has announced end of life (EOL) for Windows 7. This means that businesses that want to keep receiving support, updates, the latest features or use new devices on a Windows OS must move their programs, apps, devices and files to the new operating system.

This is a service that migrates volume data from an old server storage system to a new storage system, which is either new hardware (Windows servers) or virtual machines (Azure). This device can inventory multiple servers and their data, quickly transfer files and security configurations, transfer the source server identity (cut over) so users can access apps and data without changing anything and simplify one or multiple migrations from the user-friendly interface of Windows Admin Center.

There are several migration options. You can:

  • DIY using built-in Microsoft upgrade tools
  • Perform a wipe-and-load (manually install a clean version of Windows, reinstall applications and migrate the data)
  • Use Windows autopilot provisioning (applying a collection of configuration settings to target devices)
